The cost per acre depends on LP prices, and weed pressure. I believe our average is between $15-25/acre.

Thank you! Where are you located? We had a guy in Southeast Minnesota make ours. We have since built a bigger one, and I hope to have some GoPro video of that one in action this summer.

Can you direct me to a company that makes this flame equipment? We are just getting started in the organic arena with 100 acres.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Mike.

Dennis Luettke, an organic dairy farmer near Wells, MN manufactured our flame weeder. We bought an old anhydrous bar, and brought it down to Dennis for the burner kits and set up. We are in the process of converting a used sprayer into a flame weeder, mostly because of the frame style and wheel placement. We use 22″ rows on our corn and beans.

If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me an email at cofairviewfarm@gmail.com

Can you tell me who manufactured your flame cultivator and the spacing of your rows?
Thank you,
Mike Hill

Jonathan was hoping it would be ready to harvest on Monday. It was too wet, so only the edges have been combined. Next, we went to one of the corn fields that appeared in our flame weeding video.
